The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo The Q Revo is a great choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart. In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to identify your home. 1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience. Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly. This robot vac performs well on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do and can clean up pet hair with ease. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient. The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models. iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an improved filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost. Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention. 2. Roborock Q Revo When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad. The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level. For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and moves along. What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full. You can also create or merge rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is useful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can even remove wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot in. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni The X2 Omni is best robot vacuum for carpet and vacuum that has all the features you can want. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects. The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7. This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty. Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as voice assistant that operates offline, so you can use it even if you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined route. The X2 Omni is the best mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate remove tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective. 4. Dreametech L10s Ultra The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots at this price. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice but they also place the L10s in the premium category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need. The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles. On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel has the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can alter how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children. The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
